Screen Resolution
Right click on Desktop and go to Personalize computer. When that opens, on the bottom left is a link to adjust the display settings.

I guess the shield is there because Windows Security needs permission to use the Control Panel....

Look for the Shield! We've done a lot of work to mark all the locations that will require Administrator privileges and we've marked them with the Shield. We're trying to ensure that users understand that when they click on something marked with a shield the next thing they will see is a Consent Credential prompt.
Servus, Roman
I've successfully put Vista (Beta2) on a spare notebook. At the moment however I can only get Vista to run if I hit F8 and select 'low resolution' on start up. As soon as I select anything other than 640x480, 8 bit, 60Hz I get a black screen.
The display card is an SIS 650_651_M650_M652_740.
If I plug in an external CRT monitor as primary display I get full functionlity for it....
Robin
Sounds like a lack of proper video driver at first glance. Check with the vendor for that. In the meantime, hopefully the monitor isn't too heavy to carry.
